WHY THE CALL TO PRAY

In recent years, we have witnessed and observed youth restiveness and proliferation of secret cult practices among the youth of ogoniland.
These practices have resulted in community conflicts, fighting of one another, disorder and killing one another, this is not a dislocated case but, it is so rampant that every village has its own cult group threatening lives and property in the area. it is frightening and profoundly deadly for those who venture to speak against it.

Our native laws and customs which was the instrument that was traditionally used in those days to curtail behavior of nature are no longer effective and fully adequate to handle the problems.
Our chiefs, elders and royal highness as have done their best to quell the disturbances but, to no avail and even some chiefs have lost their lives as were the cases of the chiefs of Zaakpon, Boue and Kor in recent years.
The police in the area are seriously tackling the   issues but, the incidences are far too many to handle, even as the villagers are not willing to release the identity of the culprits to avoid being killed.

The nature of these problems is both physical and spiritual. The physical aspect of it emanated from high unemployment among the youths.
The spiritual aspect of this problem drew from idolatresses practice which can only be handled by prayers. This is why we are organizing the ogoni day of prayer and are requesting for your support.
